It is not exaggerating to say that everybody knows Beyoncé Giselle Knowles’ name. It’s not a miracle, because nowadays she is one of the most successful women in the world, and her popularity has reached the skies.
The singer was born in Houston, in Texas State. Her father, Mathew Knowles is musician manager, her mother, Tina Beyincé is fashion stylist and hairdresser. Her father is African-American, her mother is creole (African-American, Indian and French). Beyoncé’s first name is a changed version of her mother’s last name. She has one sister, Solange Knowles is singer, song writer and actress. Her musician career has started as a founder member of the Destiny’s Child. They were sighed up by the Columbia Records in 1997. In the same year they recorded their first song, the Killing Time, which was the main song of the movie, Men in Black. The band sold more than 60 million albums and EPs in the whole world. Beyoncé’s solo career has started in 2003, when the Destiny’s Child broke up, and she released her first album, the Dangerously in Love, which includes popular songs, like Crazy in Love or Baby Boy. The album got five Grammy Awards in 2004. In addition to her musician career, she played in several movies, like Pink Panther and the movie adaption of Dreamgirls.
She founded her own fashion brand, the House of Deréon. Besides these, she was the commercial face of the Pepsi, the Tommy Hilfiger and the L’Oréal.
In this year her concert tour, The Mrs. Carter Show has stops in the O2 Arena in Dublin, on 11 and 12 May 2013. Have a good time!
