Dublin Fringe Festival 2018

In the period between September 8th and September 23rd, the annual Fringe Festival will be arranged in Dublin. Are you a fan of culture, art, and discovering talent, the Fringe Festival might be something for you.

Every year there are Fringe Festivals arranged all across the world. In Dublin, the festival brings more than 30,000 people to the city, and every year they see performances and groups they have never seen before. After all, that is often what a fringe festival is about.

Few people go to the theatres, and tickets for such well-known theaters can be very expensive. At the fringe festival, smaller theater groups and artists get the chance to bring their work and acts out to a greater audience. This is a fantastic opportunity, not only for the artists but also for the audience to see and demystify the world of actors and theaters.

A Fringe festival definition

“Fringe festivals are all about providing an accessible avenue for independent theatre artists to produce and perform their work in front of an audience. The Fringe is really the essence of theatre; virtually anybody can submit a show to the Fringe and the festivals place no limits on content so shows can be bold, raw and uncensored.” (source: Huffington Post)

Congratulations to the Irish fighters!

Ireland in Euro 2016It has all calmed down a bit by now, but it was a great party in Dublin and in Ireland on Monday after their victory against Bosnia Herzegovina in the play off match for the European Championship in 2016.

After a 1-1 match in Bosnia 3 days earlier, a match played in the fog, the match in Ireland was played at the beautiful stadium and in front of thousands of crazy Irishmen cheering for their team. And in the end it was probably the combination of an incredible spirit and some good footballers that made Ireland qualify for the Euro 2016 instead of Bosnia Herzegovina.

Now all we have to do is to congratulate the guys and wish them luck in their preparations for the big tournament next year.

This will be the second tournament in a row for which the Irish team is qualified. They did not have to big success during the World Cup in Brazil, but the fact that they have managed to qualify for such world tournaments twice in a row should tell us something about the hidden qualities of this team.

If you want to know more about the European Championship in 2016, know more about who will broadcast it in Ireland (RTE) and about all the other different teams that will participate, the following article can be recommended.

Of all the stars in the Irish team we should for sure not forget about Jon Walters who scored both goals in their last play off matches against Bosnia Herzegovina. Normally he plays as a forward for Stoke. Their other big star is Robbie Keane who play football in the USA, for LA Galaxy. He scored five goals during the qualification, but all those goals came in matches against Gibraltar!

Go for it guys, and we look forward to seeing you in the European Championship next summer in France!

Where can I watch the match between Ireland and Austria online on March 26th?

On March 26th Ireland will play against Austria in the World Cup qualification. The venue is the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and it will be packed with fans cheering for their heroes to bring three new points to the nation and hopefully bring the team all the way to the World Cup in 2014.

If you want to cheer for the Irish team as well, or maybe for the Austrians, but you do not have the chance to be in Dublin yourself to check out the match, you can still take a look at the match online. The match will be shown RTE2 in Ireland, and that channel can be seen online from all over Ireland. If you stay outside Ireland you will not get to see the match because of a geo-block, making the broadcast only available to those with an IP address in Ireland. But, there are some VPN services available that can easily give you an IP address in Ireand, and one such service is HideMyAss. If you head over to their page, make a 1 month subscription and download their software you should be able to surf the net with an Irish IP address in 5 minutes from now and you can also watch the live shows on RTE online. That means you can not only watch the match on March 26th from Aviva Stadium in Dublin between Ireland and Austria, but you can watch tons of other shows as well.

The program starts at 19.00 local Irish time on RTE2… Enjoy the match, go Ireland and if you have any further comments, just write!
