Is it always raining in Dublin?

Is it always raining in Dublin? Is it always raining in Dublin?

If you have been to Dublin once or twice you might have the feeling that it is always raining in the Irish capital. But, if you wonder if it is always raining, that is a bit of an exaggeration. In fact there is an amount of 150-200 rain days in Dublin a year, and then a rain day is a day with more than 1mm of rain falling on a given day.

What makes the rain in Dublin so brutal is the fact that it often rains. You can never feel safe, because suddenly a shower is coming and then you have to get inside, or get wet. So, even the sunniest day can turn into a wet day within seconds, and that is why you should always be prepared for some showers as you walk the streets of Dublin.

You might consider the rain a calling for a lunch break or maybe for time to taste some Guinness in some pub somewhere.

Thank you anyway for the question and hope this question was kind of helpful and enjoyable for you to read!

Are there any Outlet centers in Dublin?

I am going to Dublin and would like to visit some Outlet centers, if there are any. Can you please give me more information?

First of all thank you for asking. I am afraid the answer may not be too pleasing, but at least this is it. There are no big and great outlet centers in Dublin, but the most famous in Dublin and Ireland when it comes to outlet shopping is the so called Kildare Village Outlet. This is located quite a distance from Dublin, in fact it is located 54km from Dublin. This distance can though be covered easily with either train or with bus.

Getting to Kildare Village Outlet

  • Travel with train from Dublin Heuston in direction of Cork, Galway or Waterford. These trains will normally stop at Kildare (you should though check this out first, just to be sure).
  • Travel with the Shopping Express Coach, leaving from Georges Quay in Dublin.
  • Get yourself a car and a GPS and go there on your own.

Other Dublin outlet information

The Kildare Village Outlet has the following opening times:

SATURDAY      10.00–19.00
SUNDAY          10.00–19.00

What shops can be found at this outlet center?

Here are some of the brands which can be found at this outlet center:

  • Aquascutum

  • Villeroy and Boch
  • Thomas Pink
  • Tommy Hilfiger
  • 7 For All Mankind
  • Lacoste

These are just some of the shops. It is worth knowing before you do this ride that there are mixed feedback from visitors coming to this outlet center outside Dublin. Americans find the place to be very expensive and not at all like outlet centers in the state. In other words, this is not an extremely cheap place to go shopping. There are some discounts, but do not expect miracles as you take the ride to this outlet center.

New river cruises in Dublin

Dubin Duck tour

For a long time, there have not been too many tours available for those wanting to enjoy some hours on the River Liffey in Dublin. Luckily this is changing, and we can now present two new available tours for you as a tourist coming to Dublin wanting to spend some time on the River Liffey.

If you come with your family, then maybe the Duck tour is for you. Here you can enjoy riding with an amphibian boat/car, and you will enjoy the ride both on the road and in the water. You can see Dublin Castle, St. Patricks Cathedral, and other sights along the way, and you will even were a helmet! Sounds cool? Or stupid? More information about the trip can be found here.

If you feel hungry instead and would like to enjoy a three-course dinner on the River Liffey, then take a ride with Guinness Canal Barge MV Cadhla. This is a copy of the boats originally transporting Guinness on the river in the 1920s, and today you can enjoy dinner onboard the boat. A licensed guide will also be there to give you useful information, and if you want to buy something to drink onboard, you can do so as well. Sounds fun?
